Far Far Away Radio is looking for individuals to act as regular contributors to our blog. This is an important role for the website.

Job Description: Bloggers contribute to the Far Far Away Radio website with regular blog entries. This person will primarily act as a writer, with responsibilities that include:

  • Writing one new blog entry per week. The specifics of these entries are as follows:
    • Focused on a Star Wars topic. This can cover a wide range of subjects, and the blogger will work with the FFAR producer to select topics.
    • Opinion oriented. These are not articles that report Star Wars news. We are looking for original content sharing your thoughts on the GFFA.
    • Must have a positive tone. This does not mean that every entry must be "STAR WARS IS THE BEST", but entries should refrain from fostering a negative environment on the blog.
    • Length/word count are not important. We are willing to publish a variety of article types and understand that some will be short, while others will be long.
  • Work with FFAR team (producer, other bloggers) to plan future blog posts.
  • Compose initial post draft in WordPress.
  • Articles will be read by the FFAR editorial team before publication. The blogger must be willing to work with the editorial team to make needed adjustments to any article.

Required qualifications:

  • Desire to help Far Far Away Radio meet goals for growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the Star Wars films, TV shows, and other canon material.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas.
  • Able to commit to responsibilities and complete tasks on a weekly basis.
  • Willing to operate under the Far Far Away Radio culture and act as a representative of our show to the community.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous blogging/writing experience.
  • Experience using WordPress.
  • Proficient with Google Drive.
Far Far Away Radio is looking for an individual to act as our Website Content Manager. This position is important to the growth of the written aspect of our network.

Job Description: The Website Content Manager is responsible for editing all blog posts before publication. Full responsibilities include:

  • Working with blog writers and FFAR producers to arrange and plan future blog posts.
  • Acting as an editor for all content posted on the FFAR blog before publication. Specifically, the editor will:
    • Check for and correct any spelling or grammar errors.
    • Proof the writing for inaccuracies.
    • Work with the writer to improve the overall quality of the post when needed.
  • Update various pages on the site with new information as needed.

Required qualifications

  • Desire to help Far Far Away Radio meet goals for growth.
  • Previous experience with WordPress.
  • Strong knowledge of the Star Wars films, TV shows, and other canon material.
